NOTE #1: This vehicle Requires a Special INTERFACE BYPASS MODULE due to its MULTIPLEXED IGNITION/ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM, it will Require Part # DB-ALL, Module will Interface with the IGNITION/ANTI-THEFT System, KEYLESS ENTRY and TRUNK Release with nothing else needed, to order go to the INTERFACE BYPASS MODULE Page on this website........SPECIAL NOTE....You can use the 791 and an extra Ignition key BUT you MUST build the RELAY and RESISTOR circuit as shown to remote start!! NOTE #2: To turn on the PARKING LIGHTS requires a (-)Negative thru a 2000 Ohm resistor and an extra relay part #775 to connect, See DIAGRAM NOTE #3: This vehicle uses a 1-Wire Door Locking System requiring a (-)Negative thru a 5200 Ohm Resistor for LOCK, and a (-)Negative thru a 2000 Ohm Resistor for UNLOCK, some units will also require 2 extra relays part #775 to connect, See DIAGRAMS Also SEE NOTE #1 NOTE #4: This vehicle uses 4 door pin trigger wires, the DRIVERS DOOR is a PURPLE (-) at PIN 6, the PASSENGERS DOOR is a PURPLE/WHITE (-) PIN 7, the DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR is a PURPLE/GRAY, PIN 8 and the PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR is a PURPLE/YELLOW, PIN 5. When connecting to an ALARM SYSTEM use all 4 wires and DIODE ISOLATE. See DIAGRAM NOTE #5: The BCM (Body Control Module is located in the DRIVERS KICK PANEL, near the PARKING BRAKE. NOTE #6: The Rear Hatch Pop is a (-) Negative thru a 1500 Ohm Resistor and requires an extra relay part #775 to connect, See DIAGRAM NOTE #7: The SLIDING DOORS require a (-)Negative thru a 1500 Ohm Resistor for the DRIVERS SIDE and a (-)Negative thru a 2700 Ohm Resistor for the PASSANGER SIDE and 2 extra relays part #775 for each door, See DIAGRAM. NOTE #8: The TACH wire on the 2.4L is BLUE/GREEN or BLUE/TAN. On the 3.3L and 3.8L use the BLUE/GREEN, BLUE/TAN or BLUE/ORANGE

EXTRA INFORMATION

Show Large Image To gain access to the Under Dash wiring, you must remove this Under Dash Panel. To do that remove the (2) Philip Head Screws on each lower corner of this panel and pull off. Show Large Image After removing the (2) Screws, the top of this panel is snapped into place, pull from the top and the panel will pull off. Show Large Image With the Under Dash panel removed, you can now see the Knee Bolster AirBag, remove the (5) 10mm bolts that hold this AirBag in place but do not remove this panel yet. Show Large Image Before you can remove the Knee Bolster AirBag, remove the (3) screws that hold this panel in place, and remove it. Show Large Image With the (3) screws removed, pull down on this Lower cover to remove. Show Large Image With the Lower Steering Column cover removed, you can now get to the Ignition wires and Transponder Ring on the Ignition Switch. Show Large Image This shows the 791's TRANSPONDER LOOP ANTENNA in place around the Ignition Switch Tumbler when bypassing the Transponder System on this vehicle. Show Large Image With all of the Under Dash panels removed, you can now lift up on this Knee Bolster AirBag and set it on the floor of the Vehicle, DO NOT UNPLUG the AIR BAG's YELLOW PLUG, keep the AirBag Plugged in!!!! Show Large Image To gain access to the Ignition Switch Harness wires and the Transponder Anti-Theft System, you will need to remove the Lower Steering Column cover, to do this remove the (3) Philip's Head screws in this Lower cover. Show Large Image This shows the Transponder Anti-Theft System Antenna built around the Ignition Swicth tumbler on this Vehicle, a 791 Transponder Bypass Module will be required. Show Large Image This is a picture of the IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS Plug on the Left side of the Steering Column, these wire are all about 20 Gauge in this plug. Show Large Image This shows the (+) YELLOW STARTER wire, marked with the RED Clip, at the Ignition Harness Plug. Show Large Image This shows the (-) thru a Resistor PURPLE/BROWN STARTER 2 wire, marked with the RED Clip, at the Ignition Harness Plug. Show Large Image This shows the (-) thru a 180 Ohm Resistor on the PURPLE/BROWN STARTER 2 wire, with the 180 Ohm Resistor Installed, this will also require a 775 Relay to finish the connection to the Remote Starter See DIAGRAM. Show Large Image The (+) WHITE/TAN BRAKE wire, marked with the RED Clip, located at the Brake Switch under the dash. Show Large Image To remove the Head Light Switch, press on the Switch from the rear and the Head Light switch will pop out of the dash. Show Large Image The (-) WHITE/BROWN PARKING LIGHT wire, marked with the RED Clip, is located at the Back of the Head Light Switch on the dash. Show Large Image The (-) WHITE/BROWN PARKING LIGHT wire requires a (-) Negative thru a 2000 Ohm Resistor to turn on the Parking Lights. This Picture shows the Resistor connected to the Parking LIght wire on the vehicle, in most cases you will also need a 775 relay to make Show Large Image This picture shows you how to test the Parking Light connection, to test, touch the wire from the resistor to a body ground, this should turn on the Parking Lights if the Resistor is correct and you are connected to the correct Parking Light wire on the b Show Large Image The (-) GREEN/PURPLE HORN wire, marked with the RED Clip, is located in the WHITE Plug just below the Steering Wheel and next to the YELLOW Air Bag Plug. Show Large Image This is a picture of the BCM, it is located on the Fire wall, just behind the Emergency Brake of this vehicle. The bottom plug is empty, the Plug above it, for Identification we will call Plug 1, then Plug 2, and so on. Show Large Image The 1-Wire Door Lock wire, PURPLE/GREEN, is shown is this picture with the (2) Resistors, (2000 and 5200 Ohm) connected. This PURPLE/GREEN wire is in Plug #2 of the BCM, the PURPLE/GREEN wire is approx. 20 Gauge. Show Large Image After connecting the resistors to the PURPLE/GREEN Door Lock wire, you can run this test to make sure the Doorson the vehicle Lock and Unlock, touch both of the wires going to the Resistors one at a time to a good body ground, if you have the right Resist Show Large Image The YELLOW/BROWN DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION wire on this vehicle, is a (+) Positive type, to operate the Dome Light Supervision Function on most units will require an extra Relay part #775. Show Large Image The wire that operates BOTH Sliding Door Operations on this vehicle is just (1) wire, a PURPLE/BLUE wire in Plug #2 at the BCM. This picture shows the (2) Resistors (2700 and 1500 Ohm Resistors) connected to this PURPLE/BLUE, an extra relay Part #775 will Show Large Image Just like the Door Locks on this vehicle, you can test the Sliding Door functions by touching the wires going to each Resistor to a good body ground one at a time.
