NOTES

NOTE #1: THIS VEHICLE REQUIRES A SPECIAL INTERFACE BYPASS MODULE TO REMOTE START and do KEYLESS ENTRY, PART # DB-ALL or XK09, TO ORDER PLEASE GO TO THE INTERFACE BYPASS MODULE PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE. IF YOU ARE NOT DOING KEYLESS ENTRY YOU CAN USE THE 791 BYPASS MODULE. NOTE #2: The BCM (Body Control Module) is located UNDER the drivers side of dash. The unit has (6) plugs on it with the PUPRLE Plug on the back of the unit. NOTE #3: on the BASE model trucks the wires are in the LIGHT BLUE PLUG at the BCM, PINS B4 and B5. On the 4 door trucks the DRIVERS REAR door is a LIGHT BLUE/BLACK (-) PIN A3 and the PASSENGERS REAR DOOR is a LIGHT GREEN/BLACK (-) PIN A2 these wires are in the the PURPLE PLUG at the BCM. NOTE #4: The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is located in the LEFT FRONT of the engine compartment to the left of the fan shroud. On DIESELS the TACH wire is at the BLACK PLUG, PIN 55 and on the hybrid models the tach wire is in a GREEN PLUG PIN 35 NOTE #5: when hooking up a remote starter, if you cannot get the (+) or (-) Wait to Start wire on the Remote Starter to work properly, you will then need to disconnect this wire and Program the Remote Starter for the 5, 10, 15 or 20 Second Wait to Start Timmer in the Installation manual. NOTE #6: IMPORTANT !!!!! this wire MUST BE CONNECTED as IGNITION #2 for REMOTE STARTING!!!!!!

EXTRA INFORMATION

Show Large Image With the Dash Bezel loosened, the Under Dash panel will snap off and can then be removed. Show Large Image To access the Under Dash wiring of this vehicle, you will first need to remove this Under Dash Panel, it is held in place at the bottom at each corner by (2) 7mm screws. Remove these screws, then above this panel, pull out on the ends of the Dash Bezel on Show Large Image With the Under Dash Panel removed, you can now see the Metal Knee Bolster that is under the Steering Column, this Metal pan is held into place with (4) 10mm nuts, (2) on each side, remove them and this Metal pan will pull off. Show Large Image With the Metal Knee Bolster pan removed you can see get to the Ignition Harness wires, but you will first need to remove the Black Nylon wrap around these wires and remove the Lower Steering Column cover. Show Large Image The Lower Steering Column cover will need to be removed to gain access to the Ignition Switch Harness and PassLock II wires. Show Large Image To remove the Lower Column cover, you will need to remove the Tilt Wheel Lever, use a pair of plyers to grab ahold of the Lever, so that is does not get mared, place a piece of cloth in the jaws of the plyers. Show Large Image Grab ahold of the Tilt Lever and pull out, the Lever will pull out of the column fairly easy. Show Large Image With the Tilt Wheel Lever removed, you can now unsnap the Clamshell Column covers from each other, the Upper cover will stay in place, Lower the Bottom cover away and remove. Show Large Image With the Lower Steering Column cover removed, you can now start to Identify the Ignition wires and PassLock II wires exiting the Ignition Switch. Show Large Image This picture shows the (3) PASSLOCK II wires (marked with the RED Clip) as they exit the IGNITION SWITCH TUMBLER. Of these (3) wires, the RED/WHITE wire is NOT USED!!. The YELLOW is the (+) PASSLOCK signal wire or the wire that shows 1 to 6 volts DC on a Show Large Image The Male End of this GM-12 T-HARNESS, plugs into the Ignition Switch of this vehicle. Show Large Image The Female End of the GM-12 T-HARNESS will plug into the Vehicle's Ignition Harness that was unplugged from the Ignition Switch of the vehicle. Show Large Image This is a picture of the GM-12 T-HARNESS, make sure the T-Harness you recieved looks like this harness. The GM-12 T-Harness plugs into the Ignition Switch in the Steering column of this vehicle.
