DTC Troubleshooting: B1029

DTC B1029:  Alarm Control Siren Lost Communication with MICU


1.Check the No. 7 (10A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

Is the fuse OK?


YES - Go to 2.


NO - Replace the fuse and recheck for DTCs.n


2.Check for continuity between the alarm control siren No. 4 terminal and body ground.

Is there continuity?


YES - Go to 3.


NO - Repair a short in the BLK wire.n


3.Check for continuity between the alarm control siren No. 1 terminal and body ground.

Is there continuity?


YES - Go to 4.


NO - Repair a short in the WHT/RED wire.n

4.Check for continuity between the alarm control siren No. 2 terminal and under-dash fuse/relay box Q8 terminal.

Is there continuity?


YES - Faulty alarm control siren or MICU; Replace the alarm control siren or MICU.n


NO - Repair an open in the YEL wire between the alarm control siren and MICU.n
