Hub Replacement
| 1. | Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations. |
| 2. | Remove the wheel nuts, and the rear wheel. (11.0 kgf·m, 79.6 lbf·ft) |
| 3. | Remove the brake hose mounting bracket (A). 21 N·m (2.1 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)B 10 x 1.25 mm 55 N·m (5.6 kgf·m, 41 lbf·ft)CA |
| 4. | Remove the brake caliper bracket mounting bolts (B), and remove the caliper assembly (C) from the knuckle. To prevent damage to the caliper assembly or brake hose, use a short piece of wire to hang the caliper assembly from the undercarriage. Do not twist the brake hose with force. |
| 5. | Remove the hub cap (A). 24 x 1.5 mm 245 N·m (25.0 kgf·m 181 lbf·ft)AB |
| 6. | Raise the locking tab (B) on the spindle nut (C), then remove the nut. |
| 7. | Remove the 6 mm drum in brake disc retaining screws (A). 6 x 1.0 mm 9.8 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.2 lbf·ft)B 8 x 1.25 mm |
| 8. | Screw two 8 x 1.25 mm bolts (B) into the drum in brake disc to push it away from the hub. Turn each bolt two turns at a time to prevent cocking the disc excessively. |
| 9. | Remove the drum in brake disc (C). |
| 10. | Remove the hub bearing unit (A). |
| 11. | Install the hub bearing unit in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Knuckle Replacement
| 1. | Remove the hub bearing unit. |
| 2. | Remove the brake hose bracket (A). 21 N·m (2.1 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft) |
| 3. | Remove the wheel sensor wire clip (B). |
| 4. | Remove the wheel sensor (A) from the knuckle. Do not disconnect the wheel sensor connector. 9.8 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.2 lbf·ft)A |
| 5. | Remove the parking brake cable (A) from trailing arm (B). 21 N·m (2.1 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)AB |
| 6. | Remove the parking brake shoe assembly (A) from the knuckle (B). Do not disconnect the parking brake connector. 140 N·m (14.3 kgf·m, 103 lbf·ft)BA10 x 1.25 mm 38 N·m (3.9 kgf·m, 28 lbf·ft) |
| 7. | Remove the clip (A) from the upper arm ball joint, and loosen the castle nut (B). NOTE: During installation, install the clip after tightening the nut as shown. 10 x 1.25 mm 39-47 N·m (4.0-4.8 kgf·m, 29-35 lbf·ft)A07MAC-SL00200 |
| 8. | Disconnect the upper arm ball joint from the knuckle using the special tool. |
| 9. | Remove the lower arm B mounting bolt, and remove the knuckle (A). 103 N·m (10.5 kgf·m, 75.9 lbf·ft) |
| 10. | Remove the lower arm A mounting nut (B) and washer (C) from the knuckle. 10 x 1.25 mm 64 N·m (6.5 kgf·m, 47 lbf·ft)B 12 x 1.25 mm 74 N·m (7.5 kgf·m, 54 lbf·ft)C |
| 11. | Remove the trailing arm mounting self-locking nuts (D) from the knuckle. |
| 12. | Install the knuckle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
