Rear Upper Arm Replacement
Special Tools Required
Ball joint remover, 28 mm ( 07MAC-SL00200)
| 1. | Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations. |
| 2. | Remove the wheel. |
| 3. | Place a jack under the lower arm B to support the suspension. |
| 4. | Remove the brake hose bracket (A). 21 N·m (2.1 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)A |
| 5. | Remove the clip (A) from the upper arm ball joint, and loosen the castle nut (B). NOTE: During installation, install the clip after tightening the nut as shown. 10 x 1.25 mm 39-47 N·m (4.0-4.8 kgf·m, 29-35 lbf·ft)07MAC-SL00200 |
| 6. | Disconnect the upper arm ball joint from the knuckle using the special tool. |
| 7. | Remove the upper arm mounting bolt (A), then remove the upper arm (B). 12 x 1.25 mm 103 N·m (10.5 kgf·m, 75.9 lbf·ft) |
| 8. | Install the upper arm in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
