DTC Troubleshooting: B1387
| DTC B1387: | Power Tailgate Sensor B Pulse Error |
| 1. | Clear the DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU (DTCs) from the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 2. | Open the tailgate fully, then close the tailgate fully with the transmitter or the power tailgate inner switch. |
| 3. | Check the DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU (DTCs) from the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. Is DTC B1387 indicated? YES - Go to 4. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.n |
| 4. | Clear the DTC by selecting the DTCs MENU (DTCs) from the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 5. | Check for voltage between the No. 7 and No. 8 terminals of power tailgate control unit connector D (8P) with the connector connected. |
| 6. | Check for voltage in operating by pushing the button of transmitter or pushing the power tailgate inner switch. POWER TAILGATE CONTROLUNIT CONNECTOR D (8P)Wire side of female terminalsWHT/REDORN/BLU Does 0 V to 5 V repeat? YES - Faulty power tailgate control unit; replace it.n NO - Repair an open or a short in the WHT/RED (SEN B) wire, or faulty power tailgate sensor; replace the power tailgate drive unit.n |
