7-speed Mode Steering Shift + (Plus) Switch Test

For KB, KE, KG, and KQ (L15A1 engine) Models (6-position CVT+7Speed Mode)


SRS components are located in this area. Review the following articles in the SRS before performing repairs or service;

1.Remove the steering wheel.

2.Check the steering shift + (plus) switch for continuity between cable reel subharness 13P connector terminals No. 6 and No. 9.
There should be continuity while pressing the steering shift + (plus) switch, and no continuity when the switch is released.

3.Steering shift + (plus) switch test has finished if the test result is OK.
If the switch works incorrectly at the 13P connector, test the switch at the switch connector.

4.Remove steering shift + (plus) switch connector from its clamp, and disconnect the connector.

5.Check the steering shift + (plus) switch for continuity between the switch connector terminals while pressing the steering shift + (plus) switch and when the switch is released.
There should be continuity while pressing the steering shift + (plus) switch, and no continuity when the switch is released.

6.Replace the steering shift + (plus) switch if the switch works incorrectly.

7.Replace the cable reel subharness if the switch is OK.
