1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL


2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 heater air duct splash shield seal.



4. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 heater air duct splash shield seal.



5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the claw and guide, and remove the No. 2 heater air duct splash shield seal.



6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

  1. Disengage the claw and guide, and remove the No. 2 heater air duct splash shield seal.



7. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT LH (for LHD)

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and cowl body mounting reinforcement LH.



8. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH (for RHD)

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and cowl body mounting reinforcement RH.



9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the clamp and separate the wire harness.

  1. w/ Wiper Deicer:
    Disengage the 3 clamps, disconnect the connector and separate the wire harness.

  1. Remove the 9 bolts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.



10. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Disengage the clamp and separate the wire harness.

  1. w/ Wiper Deicer:
    Disengage the 3 clamps, disconnect the connector and separate the wire harness.

  1. Remove the 9 bolts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.



11. SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the nut and separate the front stabilizer link assembly from the front shock absorber with coil spring.

    HINT:
    If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud bolt.



12. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR

  1. Remove the bolt and clamp, and separate the front speed sensor and front flexible hose from the front shock absorber with coil spring.

    NOTICE:
    Be sure to separate the front speed sensor from the front shock absorber with coil spring completely.



13. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION SUPPORT DUST COVER

  1. Remove the front suspension support dust cover.



14. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

  1. Loosen the front support to front shock absorber nut.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not remove the front support to front shock absorber nut.
    2. Loosen the front support to front shock absorber nut only when the front shock absorber with coil spring needs to be disassembled.

  1. Support the front lower No. 1 suspension sub-assembly using a jack and wooden block.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and separate the front shock absorber with coil spring (lower side) from the steering knuckle.

    NOTICE:
    When removing the nuts, keep the bolts from rotating.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and front shock absorber with coil spring.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure that the front speed sensor is completely separated from the front shock absorber with coil spring.



15. SECURE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

  1. Install a bolt and nut to the front shock absorber as shown in the illustration and secure the front shock absorber in a vise.

    Standard length A:
    40 mm (1.57 in.)



16. REMOVE FRONT SUPPORT TO FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER NUT

  1. Using SST, compress the front coil spring.

    NOTICE:
    Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.

    HINT:
    If the front coil spring is compressed at an angle, using 2 SST will make the work easier.

  1. Check that the front coil spring is sufficiently compressed.

19. REMOVE FRONT UPPER COIL SPRING SEAT


20. REMOVE FRONT UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR


21. REMOVE FRONT COIL SPRING


22. REMOVE FRONT SPRING BUMPER


23. REMOVE FRONT LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR


24. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY
