1. INSTALL NO. 2 WINDSHIELD GLASS STOPPER (for 2-piece Type)
  1. Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of 2 new No. 2 windshield glass stoppers with Primer G.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not apply too much primer.
    2. Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
    3. Throw away any leftover primer.

    HINT:
    If an area other than specified is coated by accident, wipe off the primer with a clean piece of cloth before it dries.



  1. Install the 2 new No. 2 windshield glass stoppers onto the windshield glass, as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:

3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING
  1. Using a brush or sponge, coat the application area of a new windshield outside moulding with Primer G.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not apply too much primer.
    2. Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
    3. Throw away any leftover primer.

    HINT:
    If an area other than specified is coated by accident, wipe off the primer with a clean piece of cloth before it dries.

      Check that the windshield glass stoppers are attached to the vehicle body correctly.

    4. Remove the windshield glass sub-assembly.

    1. Using suction cups, position the windshield glass so that the matchmarks are aligned, and press it in gently along the rim.

      NOTICE:
      1. Check that the windshield glass stoppers are attached to the vehicle body correctly.
      2. Check the clearance between the vehicle body and windshield glass sub-assembly.

    2. Lightly press the front surface of the windshield glass sub-assembly to ensure that the windshield glass is securely fit to the vehicle body.

      HINT:
      Press the glass with a force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22.0 lbf) or more.

    4. Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.

8. INSPECT FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
  1. After the adhesive has hardened, apply water from the outside of the vehicle. Check that no water leaks into the cabin.

  1. If water leaks into the cabin, allow the water to dry and add adhesive.

  1. Remove the protective tape.



9. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
  1. Return the front section of the roof headlining assembly to the original position.



10. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF OPENING TRIM MOULDING (w/ Sliding Roof)

    1. Make sure that there is no rain sensor tape residue remaining on the windshield glass. If there is, remove the residue.
    2. If there is any rain sensor tape residue remaining on the windshield glass, replace the tape.

  1. When installing a new rain sensor or replacing the rain sensor tape:

    1. Peel off the release sheet.

      HINT:
      Do not touch the silicone coated surfaces.

31. CLEAN WINDSHIELD GLASS (w/ Rain Sensor)

    1. Using a scraper, remove any adhesive tape and adhesive residue from the windshield glass.

      NOTICE:
      Be careful not to damage the windshield glass.

    2. Clean the outer circumference of the windshield glass with a non-residue solvent.

      NOTICE:
      1. Do not touch the windshield glass surface after cleaning it.
      2. Even if using a new windshield glass, clean the windshield glass with a non-residue solvent.

    Hold the wiper arm by hand while tightening the nut.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Operate the front wiper while spraying washer fluid onto the windshield glass. Make sure that the front wiper functions properly and the wiper does not come into contact with the vehicle body.

  1. Lift each wiper arm twice after the wipers stop and check the wiper set position.

  1. Turn the power switch off.
