DESCRIPTION

When an internal malfunction occurs in the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU), the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) stores this DTC.

An internal malfunction occurs in the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) (EEPROM access malfunction) (1 trip detection logic*).
  1. ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)
  2. Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
An immobiliser set/unset operation is performed (the power switch is turned off or on (IG) while carrying the key).
  1. *: Only output while a malfunction is present.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to the Service Bulletin.
  2. After performing repair, perform the operation that fulfills the DTC output confirmation operation, and then confirm that no DTCs are output again.

1.REPLACE ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILISER CODE ECU)
  1. Replace the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU).

  1. Register the recognition codes in the ECUs.
