FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY > INSTALLATION

1. Connect the 2 airbag connectors to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
      
   2. Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.
      

2. Push in the 2 locks to install the No. 3 instrument panel wire to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
   

1. Engage the 3 hooks.
   

2. Push the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly to engage the 3 hooks.
   

3. Install the 2 screws to install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
   

1. Engage the 5 guides.
   

   NOTICE:

   Do not damage the upper instrument panel assembly.

2. Engage the 12 claws.
   
   

   
   
   
   

3. Install the upper instrument panel assembly with the 2 bolts <A> and 2 screws <B>.
   

   Torque:

   Bolt <A>:

   20 N*m{ 204 kgf*cm , 15 ft.*lbf }

4. Engage the clamp.
   

5. Connect each connector.
   

1. Check that the power switch is off.
   

2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
   

   CAUTION:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. Connect the connector.
   

   NOTICE:

   When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
