DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) receives slide and tilt signals when the sliding roof switch is operated and drives its built-in motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  2. When the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) must be initialized (Click here).
  3. The sliding roof system uses the CAN and LIN communication systems. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the CAN and LIN communication systems. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure (Click here).

1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Sliding Roof / Data List.

  1. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - AUXILIARY BATTERY, BODY GROUND)
  1. Disconnect the T10 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection

    T10-1 (B) - Body ground
    Power switch off
    11 to 14 V

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection

  1. Disconnect the T6 sliding roof switch (map light assembly) connector.

  1. Disconnect the T10 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
