Constant speed control mode and vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode:
If the following conditions are detected while the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, the system clears the stored vehicle speed and cancels the dynamic radar cruise control operation.

Vehicle Condition
Auto Cancel Condition
Fail-safe Deactivation Condition
  1. Cruise control indicator light goes off
  2. Master warning light comes on
  3. "CHECK CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM" is displayed
  4. "Pong" warning sound is heard
  1. Open or short in stop light switch circuit
  2. Problem with vehicle speed signal
  3. Malfunction in the hybrid vehicle control system
Cruise control switch is turned off and then on again

Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode:
If the following conditions are detected while the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, the system clears the stored vehicle speed and cancels the dynamic radar cruise control operation.

If the following conditions are detected while the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, the system maintains the stored vehicle speed and cancels the dynamic radar cruise control operation.

  1. Recover from condition on left (RESUME operation is possible after recovery)
  2. Cruise control is turned off and then on again
  1. Cruise control indicator light off
  2. Master warning light comes on
  3. "CRUISE CONTROL NOT AVAILABLE" is displayed
  4. "Pong" warning sound is heard
  1. Wiper switch is in HI position
  2. Millimeter wave radar sensor sensitivity reduced because of bad weather such as rain, fog, snow, or sandstorm

Push the cruise control switch to +/RES
Cruise control indicator light goes off
  1. Problem with input circuit of stop light switch circuit
  2. Problem with cancel circuit
Power switch turned off then on (IG) again
