DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU detects that the wipers are operating at high speed, the dynamic radar cruise control system will be canceled.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

1.INSPECT DRIVING SUPPORT ECU

  1. Disconnect the driving support ECU connector.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Set the windshield wiper switch assembly to the HI position.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    H5-32 (WIP2) - Body ground
    Power switch on (IG), windshield wiper switch assembly Hi position
    11 to 14 V

  1. Reconnect the driving support ECU connector.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVING SUPPORT CONTROL ECU - WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH)
  1. Disconnect the driving support ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper switch assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance (for LH Side) (Check for Open):
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    H5-32 (WIP2) - H27-4 (+2)
    Always
    Below 1 Ω

    Standard Resistance (for RH Side) (Check for Open):
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    H5-32 (WIP2) - H27-1 (+2)
    Always
    Below 1 Ω

    Standard Resistance (for LH Side) (Check for Short):
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    H5-32 (WIP2) or H27-4 (+2) - Body ground
    Always
    10 kΩ or higher

    Standard Resistance (for RH Side) (Check for Short):
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    H5-32 (WIP2) or H27-1 (+2) - Body ground
    Always
    10 kΩ or higher

  1. Reconnect the driving support ECU connector.

  1. Reconnect the windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
