INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

Enter the following menus: Body / SRS Airbag / DTC.

Check if DTCs are output.

Result:

Result	Proceed to
Airbag system DTCs are not output.	A
Airbag system DTCs are output.	B

Turn the power switch off.

2.CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)

Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag sensor assembly terminals specified in the table below.

Turn the power switch on (READY).

Measure the waveform.

3.CLEAR DTC

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.

4.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

Check if DTCs are output.
Result:

DTC P3107-214 is not output.

DTC P3107-214 is output again.

Turn the power switch off.

5.CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

Remove the IGCT No. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse from the engine room junction block assembly.

Install the IGCT No. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse.

9.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

Disconnect connector H3 from the power management control ECU.

Disconnect connector H84 from the airbag sensor assembly.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

HINT:
As necessary, check that there is no short to power supply wires when performing the above wire harness inspection.

Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

Connect the power management control ECU connector.

10.CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU

Disconnect connector H84 from the airbag sensor assembly.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:
Turning the power switch on (IG) with the airbag sensor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

Connect the airbag sensor assembly connector.

REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (Click here)

REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (Click here)

11.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY WIRES)

Remove the IGCT No. 2 fuse and AM2 fuse from the engine room junction block assembly.
