DESCRIPTION

The power management control ECU receives a signal that indicates a collision from the airbag sensor assembly to detect a collision. After detecting a collision, the power management control ECU shuts off the high voltage systems for safety.

HINT:
If P1606-308 or 317 is output, the vehicle cannot start unless the DTCs are cleared using the intelligent tester.

1.CHECK VEHICLE FOR COLLISION DAMAGE

  1. Check the vehicle condition.

    Result:

2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Check if DTCs are output.

    Result:
    Result
    		Proceed to
    P1606 only is output.
    		A
    P0A1D is output.
    		B

  1. Turn the power switch off.

3.CHECK SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

  1. Troubleshoot the airbag system (Click here).

4.CHECK INFORMATION CODE

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Access the freeze frame data of DTC P1606 and read the INF code.

    Result:
    Result
    		Proceed to
    INF code 308 is output.
    		A
    INF code 317 is output.
    		B

  1. Turn the power switch off.

5.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Check if DTCs are output.

    Result:

    One or two of the following conditions are met.

    		DTC P3107-213 or P3107-214 is output.

    		DTC U0151-763 is output.
