1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
(Click here)


2. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.



3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)


4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)


6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)

  1. Using a screwdriver, turn each pin 90 degrees counterclockwise and remove the 2 pin hold clips.

  1. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 3 screws.

  1. Remove the 6 screws and bolt.

  1. Remove the 6 clips and 2 grommets and front fender liner RH.

    HINT:
    The grommets need to be replaced with new ones because they will break when they are removed.

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the 4 claws, 2 guides and 4 clips, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.



8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)

  1. Remove the clip as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disengage the clip and claw, and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.



9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Remove the 2 screws <E>.

  1. Disengage the clip.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.



10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



12. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Remove the screw <E>.

  1. Disengage the 2 clips.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.



13. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides, and disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.



14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.



15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage each clamp shown in the illustration.

  1. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  1. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
