| 1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ENGINE AND ECT) |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.
Check if DTCs are output.

Turn the power switch off.

| 2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.
Check if DTCs are output.

Turn the power switch off.

| 3.CHECK CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REVOLUTION (PARK (P) SELECTED) |
Turn the power switch off.
Push the P position switch and lift up the vehicle.
Turn the crankshaft pulley using hand tools to check if the crankshaft can rotate smoothly.

| 4.CLEAR DTC |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.
Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
Turn the power switch off.

| 5.CHECK ENGINE RACING |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Push the P position switch.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Generator (MG1) Rev, Engine Revolution.
Read the Data List.
Turn the power switch on (READY).

While the READY indicator is on, fully depress the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds.

| 6.CHECK CREEP MOVEMENT |
Depress the brake pedal, move the shift lever to D, and release the brake pedal.

| 7.INSPECT ENGINE SPEED |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (READY).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor (MG2) Revolution, Generator (MG1) Rev, Engine Revolution.
Read the Data List.
Move the shift lever to D.
Fully depress the accelerator pedal to accelerate the vehicle from a stop.
Turn the power switch off.

| 8.PERFORM SIMULATION TEST |
Perform step 3 and steps 5 through 7 again.

| 9.CHECK CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REVOLUTION (N POSITION) |
Turn the power switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to N.
Lift up the vehicle.
Turn the crankshaft pulley using hand tools to check if the crankshaft can rotate smoothly.
