FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) > REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
  1. Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (Click here).
  2. If the side airbag has deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly and front seatback spring assembly with a new one.

NOTICE:
  1. After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).



2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Remove the rear No. 2 floor board.



3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

  1. Remove the rear deck floor box.



4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.



5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Disengage the 6 guides and remove the deck floor box RH.



6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE

  1. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides, and remove the rear floor board upper No. 3 plate.



7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


8. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover.



9. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover.



10. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear outer seat track bracket cover.



11. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover.



12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the center position. Also, operate the power seat switch knob and move the seatback to the upright position.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTICE:
    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

  1. Disconnect the connectors under the seat.

  1. Remove the front seat assembly.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
