DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the power switch on (IG) or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

  1. Read the display on the intelligent tester.

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (Click here)  

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
  1. Disconnect the 2E*1 or 2F*2 and 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    2E-1*1 - Body ground
    Power switch off
    11 to 14 V
    2F-1*2 - Body ground
    Power switch off
    11 to 14 V
    2B-25 - Body ground
    Power switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V

    1. *1: for LHD
    2. *2: for RHD

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

3.INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (IG1 NO.1 RELAY)
  1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly (Click here).

  1. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.



  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
