BODY > GENERAL MAINTENANCE



1. TIGHTEN BOLTS AND NUTS ON CHASSIS AND BODY

  1. If necessary, tighten the bolts and nuts on the chassis parts listed below.

    1. Front axle and suspension
    2. Drive train
    3. Rear axle and suspension
    4. Brake system
    5. Engine mounts
    6. Other chassis parts

  1. If necessary, tighten the bolts and nuts on the body parts listed below.

    1. Seat belt system
    2. Seats
    3. Doors and hood
    4. Body mounts
    5. Fuel tank
    6. Exhaust system
    7. Other body parts



2. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING FILTER

  1. Remove the air conditioning filter (Click here).

  1. Visually inspect the surface of the air conditioning filter.

  1. If the air conditioning filter is contaminated with foreign matter, replace it.



3. ROAD TEST

  1. Check the engine and chassis for abnormal noises.

  1. Check that the vehicle does not wander or pull to one side.

  1. Check that the brakes work properly and do not drag.



4. BODY INSPECTION

  1. Check the body exterior for dents, scratches and rust.

  1. Check the underbody for rust and damage.
    If necessary, replace the damaged part or repair the damaged area.



5. FINAL INSPECTION

  1. Check the operation of the body parts.

    1. Hood

      1. Auxiliary catch operates properly.
      2. Hood locks securely when closed.

    2. Front and rear doors

      1. Door locks operate properly.
      2. Doors close properly.

    3. Back door

      1. Door lock operates properly.

    4. Seats

      1. Seats adjust easily and lock securely in any position.
      2. Front seatbacks lock securely in any position.
      3. Fold-down rear seatbacks lock securely.

    5. Be sure to deliver a clean car. Make sure to check the following:

      1. Steering wheel
      2. Shift lever knob
      3. All switches and knobs
      4. Door handles
      5. Seats
