1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LOCKING CAP

  1. Turn the headlight locking cap in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.



2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.

    NOTICE:
    Do not touch the bulb glass.



3. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

  1. Turn the front turn signal light bulb and front turn signal light socket and wire in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.

  1. Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket and wire.



4. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the front turn signal light socket and wire.



5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    1. Turn the aiming screw until the headlight leveling motor can be moved in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
    2. Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

  1. Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to release it.

    HINT:
    When removing the headlight leveling motor of the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor in the opposite direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

  1. Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the shaft.

    HINT:
    Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.

  1. Pull out the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration to remove it.



6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING

  1. Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.

    NOTICE:
    After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.



7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 4 screws and disconnect the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly.

  1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly.



8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET

  1. Remove the headlight gasket.

    NOTICE:
    After the headlight gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.
