1. Connect the 2 clamps and No. 2 hybrid battery pack wire.
   

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

1. Install the No. 1 hybrid battery packing with the 2 clamps.
   

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

1. Install the upper hybrid battery cover sub-assembly and No. 1 hybrid battery shield sub-assembly with the 3 bolts and 8 nuts.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

1. Install the No. 1 hybrid battery cover intake duct with the 2 clips.
   

CAUTION:

Wear insulated gloves.

1. Install the HV battery thermistor to the No. 4 hybrid vehicle battery carrier bracket sub-assembly.
   

2. Install the No. 4 hybrid vehicle battery carrier bracket sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

3. Connect the 3 wire harness clamps.
   

CAUTION:

Wear insulated gloves.

1. Install the No. 1 hybrid vehicle battery carrier bracket sub-assembly with the 3 nuts.

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

2. Install the battery cover lock striker, then push the button to lock it.
   

3. Install the electric vehicle battery plug assembly with the bolt as shown in the illustration.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

4. Connect the connector.
   

   NOTICE:

   The connector should be connected securely.

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

1. Install the battery smart unit with the 2 bolts.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

2. Connect the 3 connectors.
   

   NOTICE:

   The connectors should be connected securely.

CAUTION:

Wear insulated gloves.

NOTICE:

Since the HV battery is very heavy, 2 people are needed to install the HV battery. When installing the HV battery, do not damage the parts around it.

1. Install the HV battery to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.
   

   Torque:

   19 N*m{ 194 kgf*cm , 14 ft.*lbf }

2. Connect the connector and electrical key oscillator clamp.
   

3. Install a new No. 3 hybrid vehicle battery carrier sheet.
   

4. Install a new No. 2 hybrid vehicle battery carrier sheet.
   

5. Install the hybrid vehicle battery lower cover plate.
   

1. Install the rear center seat back hinge sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
   

   Torque:

   37 N*m{ 375 kgf*cm , 27 ft.*lbf }

1. Install the child restraint seat anchor bracket subassembly LH with the 2 bolts.
   

   Torque:

   20 N*m{ 199 kgf*cm , 14 ft.*lbf }

1. Connect the wire harness protector clamp.
   

2. Install the child restraint seat anchor bracket subassembly RH with the 2 bolts.
   

   Torque:

   20 N*m{ 199 kgf*cm , 14 ft.*lbf }

1. Install the No. 7 hybrid battery upper carrier bracket with the bolt.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

2. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.
   

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

1. Install the hybrid battery junction block assembly with the 3 nuts.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

2. Connect the 2 connectors to the hybrid battery junction block assembly.
   

   NOTICE:

   The connectors should be connected securely.

3. Connect the 2 connectors to the hybrid battery junction block assembly.
   

CAUTION:

Wear insulated gloves.

1. Install the frame wire on the hybrid battery junction block with the 2 nuts.
   

   Torque:

   9.0 N*m{ 92 kgf*cm , 80 in.*lbf }

   NOTICE:

   1. Make sure that the ends of the frame wire are not crossed over each other.
      
   2. Be sure to connect the frame wires to the correct terminals.
      

2. Connect the clamp and frame wire.
   

CAUTION:

Wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

1. Check that each wire harness is being installed securely.

   Frame Wire

   NOTICE:

   1. Make sure that the end of the frame wire are not crossed over each other.
      
   2. Be sure to connect the frame wire to the correct terminals as shown in the illustration.
      
   3. The connectors should be connected securely.
      
   4. The nuts should be fastened securely.
      
   5. Make sure that the 4 plastic covers are engaged securely.
      

1. Install the upper hybrid battery cover sub-assembly with the 4 nuts.

2. Install the battery cover lock striker, then push the button to lock.
   

NOTICE:

1. Be sure not to touch the fan part of the battery cooling blower assembly.
   
2. Do not lift the battery cooling blower assembly using the wire harness.
   

1. Install the battery cooling blower assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.
   

   Torque:

   7.5 N*m{ 76 kgf*cm , 66 in.*lbf }

2. Connect the battery cooling blower assembly connector and clamp.
   

3. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.
   

1. Insert the No. 1 hybrid battery exhaust duct with the clip.
   

   NOTICE:

   Ensure that the duct is installed securely.

1. Install the No. 1 hybrid battery intake duct with the 2 clips.
   

1. Install the rear floor board spacer with the 2 clips.
   

1. Align the cutout of a new hybrid battery cover sheet with the edge of the upper hybrid battery cover subassembly, and then install the hybrid battery cover sheet with the double-sided tape.

1. Align the edge of the tab of a new hybrid vehicle battery shield sheet with the edge of the hybrid battery cover sub-assembly, and then install the hybrid vehicle battery shield sheet with the double-sided tape.

2. Overlap the hybrid vehicle battery shield sheet with the hybrid battery cover sheet, fold the edge as shown in the illustration, and secure it with the double-sided tape.

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

1. Engage the 6 claws.
   

2. Install the rear seat side garnish LH with the clip.
   

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

1. Engage the 4 claws, 2 guides and 2 clips to install the rear door scuff plate LH.
   

1. Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips.
   

2. Install the rear No. 1 floor board with the bolt.
   

1. Engage the claw and 2 clips to install the rear No. 2 floor board sub-assembly.
   

1. Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips to install the rear No. 1 floor board sub-assembly.
   

1. Engage the 6 guides.
   

2. Install the deck floor box LH with the clip.
   

1. Engage the 2 clips and 3 guides to install the rear No. 4 floor board.
   

1. Install the rear No. 4 floor board.
   

1. Install the tonneau cover assembly.
