DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives signals from the back door opener switch assembly. Then, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the back door lock motor.

2.CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION (BASIC FUNCTION)
  1. Check the power door lock basic function (Click here).

    OK:
    The power door lock basic functions operate normally.

3.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR LOCK STATUS)
  1. Unlock all doors.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

  1. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

4.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

  1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

5.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

  1. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

6.INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the back door lock assembly (Click here).

  1. Check the operation of the door lock motor.

    1. Move the door lock to the lock position.

    2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.

      OK:
      Connection
      Result
      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (ACT+)
      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (ACT-)
      Unlocks

  1. Check the operation of the door courtesy switch.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:

  1. Disconnect the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

  1. Disconnect the instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
