DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the disc in the radio receiver assembly cannot read the media.

When one of the conditions below is met:
  1. An unsuitable disc is inserted.
  2. The disc cannot be read.
  3. The disc cannot be read because of dirt or scratches.
  4. The disc cannot be read because it is inserted upside down.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DISC

  1. Check that the disc is not deformed or cracked.

    OK:
    No deformation or cracks on the disc

2.DISC CLEANING

  1. Disc cleaning

    1. If dirt is on the disc surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

      NOTICE:
      Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.


NEXT


3.REPLACE DISC WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK

  1. Replace the disc with a known good one and recheck.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

    OK:
    No DTCs are output.
