INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

  1. Check if DTCs are output.

    Result:

    Proceed to
    P0AFC-123 is not output.
    A
    P0AFC-123 is also output.

  1. Turn the power switch off.

2.CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT
  1. Ensure the safety of the areas in front and at the back of the vehicle.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Batt block Vol -V01 to V14.

  1. Fully warm up the engine and turn the air conditioning off.

  1. Firmly depress the brake pedal with your left foot.

  1. Move the select lever to D.

  1. Record each battery block voltage from the data list (Batt block Vol -V01 to V14) while fully depressing the accelerator pedal.

  1. Compare the battery block voltages (VB0 to 13 Batt block) between the even and odd number groups in each combination shown in the table below.

  1. Turn the power switch off.

  1. Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Check if DTCs are output.
