DESCRIPTION

In some cases, wireless door lock control functions are normal but the hazard warning light and/or wireless door lock buzzer answer-back function(s)*1 does not operate. In such cases, hazard warning light and wireless door lock buzzer signal outputs from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) may be malfunctioning.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ANSWER-BACK OPERATION)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Utility / Customize / Wireless Door Lock.

  1. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

    		When the doors are locked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash once.

3.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

  1. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

  1. Check the wireless answer-back operation using the electrical key transmitter.

5.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

  1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

6.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)

  1. Disconnect the A33 wireless door lock buzzer and 2C instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition

    A33-1 (B) - 2C-23 (BZR)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    A33-2 (E) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
