DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly communicates with the ECM, power management control ECU, skid control ECU, power steering ECU assembly, main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), and airbag ECU assembly via the CAN communication system.

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition is detected:
  1. No communication with skid control ECU continues for 3 seconds or more
  1. Skid control ECU

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition is detected:
  1. No communication with power steering ECU assembly continues for 3 seconds or more
  1. Power steering ECU assembly
  2. CAN communication system
  3. Combination meter assembly

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition is detected:
  1. No communication with main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) continues for 3 seconds or more
  1. Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
  2. CAN communication system
  3. Combination meter assembly
U0151
When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition is detected:
  1. No communication with airbag ECU assembly continues for 10 seconds or more
  1. Airbag ECU assembly
  2. CAN communication system
  3. Combination meter assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / DTC.

  1. Clear the stored DTCs.

  1. Drive the vehicle at more than 5 km/h (3.1 mph) for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Stop the vehicle.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    HINT:
    If CAN communication system DTC U0100, U0129, U0131, U0142, or U0151 and another DTC are output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for CAN communication system DTC U0100, U0129, U0131, U0142, or U0151 first.
