DTC    B2074    Driver Side Seat Belt Buckle Switch Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives driver side buckle switch condition information from the center airbag sensor through the CAN communication line and controls the pre-crash safety system.
This DTC is stored when a buckle switch malfunction signal is received from the airbag system.
When DTC B2074 is detected, DTC B1655 or DTC B1656 is also output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:
This circuit uses CAN communication. Therefore, be sure to check that the CAN communication system is normal before performing inspection (Click here).

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Recheck for DTCs.

    OK:
    CAN communication system DTC is not output.

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (Click here)
OK


2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIR BAG SYSTEM)
  1. Check DTCs for the air bag system (Click here).

    OK:
    Airbag system DTC is not output.

GO TO AIR BAG SYSTEM (Click here)
OK


3.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM)
  1. Using the intelligent tester, enter the following menus: Body / Pre-Crash / DTC.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Recheck for DTCs.

    OK:
    DTC B2074 is not output.
