DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTC (Click here).

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

2.REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR)

  1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) with a known good one (Click here).

    HINT:
    All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
