FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Memory) > Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

With the power switch off and the driver door closed, pressing the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly while holding a seat memory switch (M1 switch, M2 switch or M3 switch) will register the transmitter recognition code into the seat memory switch that was pressed. After the registration is completed, the answer back buzzer sounds.

NOTICE:
  1. The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously.
  2. If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.


INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
  1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally (Click here).

    OK:
    CAN communication DTC is not output.

2.CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
  1. Check the manual lock/unlock function by using the multiplex network master switch assembly (Click here).

    OK:
    Manual lock/unlock function operates normally.

3.CHECK ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Start Function)
  1. Check that the hybrid control system starts normally when the power switch is pressed with carrying the key and the brake pedal depressed.

    OK:

4.CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION
  1. Perform a seat position memory function (Click here).

  1. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of the seat position memory function.

    NOTICE:
    1. The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously.
    2. If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.

    OK:
    Seat position memory function operates normally.

5.CHECK SEAT POSITION RESTORING FUNCTION
  1. Perform a seat position restoring function (Click here).

  1. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the seat automatically moves to the memorized position.

    NOTICE:
    1. The seat position will not return to the memorized position if 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously.
    2. If a restoring operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory restoring function does not operate unless the switches are released.

    OK:
    Seat position restoring function operates normally.

6.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DRIVER DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

  1. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

7.CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION
  1. When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly.

    1. Power switch is off
    2. Press and hold the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switch
    3. Driver door closed
    4. Carry the key

  1. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of the memory call registration function (Click here).

OK:
Buzzer sounds normally.

9.CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION
  1. Turn the power switch off.

  1. Close and lock all doors.

  1. Unlock the driver door by pressing the unlock switch of the memory call registered key or touching the driver door outside handle with holding the memory call registered key.

  1. Open the driver door and check that the driver seat moves to the memorized position (Click here).

    OK:
    Driver seat moves to the memorized position.
