DTC    B2764    Short to GND in Intrusion Sensor Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

  1. The intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) conducts self-diagnosis immediately after power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).
    If a malfunction is detected in the ISIF line, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stores this DTC.

After normal/trouble signal is output from intrusion sensor as result of self-diagnosis, following malfunctions are detected:
  1. ISIF line circuit is shorted to ground
  2. Reception of signals other than normal/trouble signal
  1. Map light assembly
  2. Intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor)
  3. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
  4. Wire harness or connector

WIRING DIAGRAM

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)

  1. Disconnect the H17 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

  1. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    H17-12 (ISIF) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher



NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK


2.REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Replace map light assembly (Click here).


NEXT


3.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG), then off.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

  1. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC B2764 is not output.

Go to step 4

END (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE) 

4.REPLACE INTRUSION SENSOR (THEFT WARNING ULTRASONIC SENSOR)

  1. Replace the intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) (Click here).

5.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG), then off.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

  1. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC B2764 is not output.
