Measure the voltage of the auxiliary battery with the power switch off.

Open the driver door using the mechanical key built into the electrical key transmitter.
Connect the intelligent tester and check for DTCs (Click here).

| 4.CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM |
When the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly on the driver door is operated, check that the doors unlock and lock according to the switch operation (Click here).

| 5.CHECK ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER |
When a known good registered electrical key transmitter is used, check that the wireless functions operate normally.

| 6.CHECK ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER (LED) |
Press and hold the lock switch of the electrical key transmitter for 5 seconds and check the number of times that the electrical key transmitter LED illuminates.

| 7.INSPECT TRANSMITTER BATTERY (VOLTAGE) |
Inspect the transmitter battery (for Type A)

Remove the battery from the electrical key transmitter that does not operate (Click here).
Attach a lead wire (0.60 mm [0.0236 in.] in diameter or less including wire sheath) with tape or equivalent to the negative terminal.

Carefully pull the lead wire out from the position shown in the illustration and install the previously removed transmitter battery.

Measure the voltage of the transmitter battery.

Inspect the transmitter battery (for Type B)

Remove the battery from the electrical key transmitter that does not operate (Click here).
Attach a lead wire (0.60 mm [0.0236 in.] in diameter or less including wire sheath) with tape or equivalent to the negative terminal.

Bring the electrical key transmitter near the door control receiver and perform a wireless function operation check.

When the power switch is off, check that the functions other than the wireless functions recognize the power source mode as being off.

Disconnect the H143 ECU connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the Q8 door control receiver connector.
Disconnect the H144 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
