DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open, short or ECU communication malfunction between the power management control ECU and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, register the key.
  2. When using the intelligent tester to troubleshoot with the power switch off:
    Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT
  1. Clear the DTC (Click here).

  1. Recheck for DTCs.

    HINT:
    Check the both "Entry&Start" and "Power Source Control" DTCs.

    Only DTC B2287 is output.

    DTC B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously.

    HINT:
    When DTC B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)
  1. Disconnect the H4 power management control ECU and H1*1 or H143*2 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connectors.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection

    H4-11 (LIN2) - H1-29 (LIN)*1
    H4-11 (LIN2) - H143-29 (LIN)*2

    Below 1 Ω
