DESCRIPTION

When selecting ECO mode, the switch operation signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly. Following this, ECO mode control is activated for the heater and air conditioning system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (CAN BUS CHECK)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

    Result:
    Result
    Proceed to
    All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed.
    A
    None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed.
    B

  1. Turn the power switch off.

2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ALL CODES)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: System Select / Utility / All Codes.

  1. Check DTCs.
    Result 
    Result
    Proceed to
    No DTCs are output.
    A
    DTCs are output.
    B

  1. Turn the power switch off.

3.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (INDICAT. ECO MODE)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test / Indicat. ECO Mode.

  1. Perform the "Indicat. ECO MODE" Active Test.

    OK:
    The ECO MODE indicator lamp comes on or blinks.

  1. Turn the power switch off.

4.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ECO MODE)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / ECO Mode.

  1. Read the value displayed on the intelligent tester.

  1. Read the value displayed on the intelligent tester.

  1. Remove the combination switch assembly.

7.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION SWITCH)
  1. Disconnect connector H85 from the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

  1. Disconnect connector H72 from the combination switch assembly.
