DESCRIPTION

If the seat belt control ECU judges that there is a malfunction in its internal circuit as a result of self-diagnosis, or if the power source voltage (+B) is not input to the seat belt control ECU, this DTC will be stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  2. After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).

1.INSPECT SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (+B TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  1. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector.

  1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    H6-7 (+B) - Body ground
    Power switch off
    11 to 14 V

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  1. Reconnect seat belt control ECU connector.

  1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
