Some versions of "Bluetooth" compatible audio players may not function, or the function may be limited using the radio receiver assembly, even if the portable audio player itself can play files (Click here).

1.CHECK CONNECTED DEVICE SETTINGS

  1. Display the "Select Portable Player" screen and check if the portable player is registered as a connected device.

    NOTICE:
    If a cellular phone is used as a portable player, it must be registered independently from the registration that is performed for the hands-free system.

    HINT:
    Only 2 portable players can be registered.

2.CHECK SYMPTOMS
  1. Check the connection condition between the portable player and radio receiver assembly.

    HINT:
    The portable player cannot be connected when any of the following conditions are met:
    1. The portable player is connected to another device.
    2. The portable player is connected to the radio receiver assembly using the hands-free function.
    3. The radio receiver assembly has cleared the portable player registration.
    4. The portable player is off.

3.CHECK AUTOMATIC CONNECTION SETTINGS


  1. Display the "BT audio settings" screen and check automatic connection settings of the "Bluetooth" audio.

    1. Check if On is displayed for "Auto Bluetooth connect" on the "BT audio settings" screen.

      OK:
      On is displayed for "Auto Bluetooth connect".

4.CHECK PORTABLE PLAYER STATUS
  1. Check the status of the portable player.

    1. Check that the portable player is in standby mode.

    2. Check that the portable player is not connected to another device (headphones etc.).

      OK:
      The portable player is not in standby mode and not connected to another device (headphones etc.).

TAKE PORTABLE PLAYER OUT OF STANDBY MODE AND DISCONNECT OTHER DEVICES (HEADPHONES etc.)

5.CHECK USING ANOTHER "Bluetooth" AUDIO COMPATIBLE VEHICLE OF SAME MODEL
  1. Check if the portable player can be connected manually/automatically on another "Bluetooth" audio compatible vehicle of the same model.

    OK:
    The portable player can be connected manually/automatically.

6.REMOVE ADDITIONAL DEVICES WHICH USE RADIO WAVES
  1. Remove additional devices which use radio waves.
