DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the multi-media interface ECU assembly.

When one of the conditions below is met:
  1. System microprocessor malfunction
  2. Media interface microprocessor malfunction
  3. CD-LSI (Large Scale Integration) malfunction
  4. Internal power supply malfunction
  1. USB device or "iPod"
  2. No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly
  3. Wire harness or connector
  4. Multi-media interface ECU assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

1.REPLACE "iPod" OR USB DEVICE
  1. Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

  1. Turn the power switch off.

    HINT:
    When this DTC has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the power switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.

  1. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

  1. Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

HINT:
If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.

2.CLEAR DTC
  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).


NEXT


3.RECHECK FOR DTC
  1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

    OK:
    No DTCs are output.

Go to step 4
OK

USB DEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE 

4.INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection

    Power switch on (ACC)
    5 V

REPLACE NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY (Click here)  

5.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
  1. Disconnect the multi-media interface ECU assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
