1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).



2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Remove the rear No. 2 floor board.



3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

  1. Remove the rear deck floor box.



4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.



5. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Disengage the 6 guides and remove the deck floor box RH.



6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE

  1. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides, and remove the rear floor board upper No. 3 plate.



7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).



8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for LHD)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for LHD)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



10. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  1. Remove the residual weatherstrip sealant from the body of the vehicle using cleaner.

    NOTICE:
    Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.



11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws, clip and 4 guides, and remove the instrument side panel RH.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



12. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the 2 clips, claw and guide.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.



13. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Remove the screw <E>.

  1. Disengage the 2 clips.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.



14. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

CAUTION:
When storing the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

  1. Check that the power switch is off.

  1. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts.

  1. Disengage the 6 claws and 2 guides to separate the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly.

  1. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, release the airbag connector lock.

  1. Disconnect the airbag connector to remove the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly.

    NOTICE:
    When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.



15. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Remove the 4 screws <C>.

  1. Disengage the 5 claws.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the glove compartment door assembly.



16. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



17. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH (for LHD)

  1. Disconnect each connector.

  1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

  1. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and ECU integration box RH.



18. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH (for RHD)

  1. Disconnect each connector.

  1. Disengage the clamp.

  1. Remove the bolt.

  1. Remove the nut and ECU integration box RH.



19. REMOVE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the driving support ECU assembly.

    HINT:
    When removing the driving support ECU assembly, if the bracket for the park assist ECU is on top of the bracket for the driving support ECU assembly, remove the park assist ECU first (Click here).



20. REMOVE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the driving support ECU assembly.

    HINT:
    When removing the driving support ECU assembly, if the bracket for the park assist ECU is on top of the bracket for the driving support ECU assembly, remove the park assist ECU first (Click here).
