DESCRIPTION

The brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) receives vehicle stability signals from the yaw rate sensor and sends the signals to the driving support ECU and power management control ECU. If the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) detects that the yaw rate sensor is malfunctioning, the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) sends a malfunction signal to the driving support ECU, and the driving support ECU stores DTC C1A46. Also, when DTC C1A46 is stored, the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) stores DTC C1234 at the same time.

When the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (4 mph) or more, a yaw rate sensor malfunction signal is received from the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:
This circuit uses CAN communication. Therefore, be sure to check that the CAN communication system is normal before performing inspection.

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)

  1. Check DTCs for the electronically controlled brake system (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC C1234 is not output.

GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM (Click here)
OK


2.REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER

  1. Replace the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) (Click here) (for LHD).

  1. Replace the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) (Click here) (for RHD).

3.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM)

  1. Using the intelligent tester, enter the following menus: Body / Pre-Crash 2 / DTC.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Driver the vehicle.

  1. Recheck for DTCs.

    OK:
    DTC C1A46 is not output.
