NAVIGATION SYSTEM / MULTI INFORMATION SYSTEM > GENERAL |
| OUTLINE |
A pop-up type multi display, located in the top part of the instrument panel, is used to help ensure visibility by reducing the need for the driver to take their eyes off the road while driving. The display consists of a wide 7.0-inch Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).
Multi display can be opened or closed by pushing the OPEN/CLOSE switch located in center console. Moreover, the angle of the display can be adjusted to 4 positions by pushing the TILT switch.
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are used to provide mercury-free backlighting for the multi display. This reduces the burden on the environment and ensures brightness.

Due to the optimally positioned multi-display assembly screen, the Remote Touch has been adopted, ensuring operability while driving.

A 2-axis mechanism is adopted for the Remote Touch. Motors in the remote operation board portion of the device provide feedback (feedback force) which is similar to a click. This feedback is transmitted to the users hand according to the operation of the cursor on the screen to facilitate selecting buttons or icons and ensure operability while driving.

A Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is provided as standard on the display and navigation module display on models for Europe.
The HDD for the display and navigation module display can be supplied separately, enhancing serviceability.
For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
