1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front wiper arm head cap.

    HINT:
    1. Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.



2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.



3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

  1. Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.



4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SIDE PANEL PROTECTOR LH

  1. Disengage the clip and guide, and remove the front No. 2 side panel protector LH.

5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SIDE PANEL PROTECTOR RH

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.



6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 clips.



  1. Disengage the 6 claws and guide as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disengage the 7 guides and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING

  1. Put protective tape around the windshield outside moulding.

  1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 10 claws.

  1. Disengage the guide and remove the windshield outside moulding.



8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS
  1. Remove the windshield glass (Click here).



9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD NO. 1 OUTSIDE MOULDING CLIP
  1. Insert a 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.

  1. Tape a 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    Tape the 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

  1. Lightly press the drill bit against the rivets to drill off the rivet flanges, and remove the 5 windshield No. 1 outside moulding clips.

    NOTICE:
    1. Make sure to protect both the inside and outside of the vehicle from the rivet shavings.
    2. Pressing the drill excessively will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled.
    3. Do not pry the rivets with the drill, because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivets or the drill bit.
    4. Be careful as the cut rivet will be hot.

  1. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled areas.
