FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING > REMOVAL

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER LOWER

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the trim lower cover.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the 9 clips labeled A, and remove the trim together with the weather strip.

  1. Detach the 4 clips labeled B to separate the weatherstrip and trim.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.



3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the trim lower cover.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the 9 clips labeled A, and remove the trim together with the weather strip.

  1. Detach the 4 clips labeled B to separate the weatherstrip and trim.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.



4. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the clip.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and mirror.



5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP INNER

  1. Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.



6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY

  1. Put protective tape under the belt moulding.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and remove the belt moulding.
