HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



2. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER LOWER

  1. Detach the 2 claws and trim lower cover.

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the 6 clips labeled B, and remove the trim together with the weatherstrip.

  1. Detach the 4 clips labeled A to separate the weatherstrip.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.



3. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 2 claws and trim lower cover.

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the 6 clips labeled B, and remove the trim together with the weatherstrip.

  1. Detach the 4 clips labeled A to separate the weatherstrip.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.



4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 6 clips and remove the trim cover.



5. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips and garnish.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



6. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
  1. Using a clip remover, detach the clips and remove the weatherstrip.

    HINT:
    If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.



7. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a drill bit with a diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 7 rivet flanges.

    CAUTION:
    Be careful as the cut rivet will be very hot.

    NOTICE:
    Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and drill hole. Line up the drill and rivet, and carefully drill out the rivet head.

    HINT:
    Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 5 mm (0.20 in.) from the tip of the drill bit, as shown in the illustration.

  1. Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments using the drill.

  1. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled areas.

  1. Detach the 3 clips.

  1. Remove the rear door window frame moulding from the door frame.



8. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING FRONT

  1. Using a drill bit with a diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 3 rivet flanges.

    CAUTION:
    Be careful as the cut rivet will be very hot.

    NOTICE:
    Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and drill hole. Line up the drill and rivet, and carefully drill out the rivet head.

    HINT:
    Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 5 mm (0.20 in.) from the tip of the drill bit, as shown in the illustration.

  1. Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments using the drill.

  1. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled areas.

  1. Remove the rear door window frame moulding front from the door frame.
