1. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING UPPER

  1. Disconnect the indicator light wire sub-assembly from the shift lever plate.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the position indicator housing upper.



2. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the shift lock release button.



3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LENS

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the position indicator lens from the position indicator housing upper.



4. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the indicator light wire sub-assembly from the position indicator housing lower.

  1. Remove the position indicator bulb from the indicator light wire sub-assembly.

  1. Remove the position indicator bulb cap from the position indicator bulb.

  1. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector from the floor shift assembly.

  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the locking lug of terminals (4) and (8), and pull the terminals out from the rear.



5. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE LINK

  1. Remove the shift lock release link and spring from the floor shift assembly.



6. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

  1. Remove the position indicator slide cover from the shift lever guide housing.

  1. Remove the position indicator slide cover No.2 from the position indicator slide cover.



7. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the shift lever nut and lock pin from the floor shift assembly.

  1. Remove the shift lever guide housing from the floor shift assembly.

    NOTICE:
    First remove the shift lever nut and lock pin, then disengage the 2 claws.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and shift lock control ECU sub-assembly.



8. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING LOWER

  1. Remove the position indicator housing lower from the shift lever guide housing.



9. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

  1. Remove the transmission control switch from the shift lever guide housing.
