DESCRIPTION

The front controller receives washer fluid level sensor information, and sends it through the multiplex communication line to the combination meter.
The combination meter receives this information, and turns on the washer fluid level warning switch when the washer fluid level becomes low.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester's main switch ON.

    Front controller:

Go to step 2
OK

PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK - BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the 2F junction block connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    2F-7 - Body ground
    		Washer fluid level is normal
    		10 kΩ or higher
    2F-7 - Body ground
    		Washer fluid level is low
    		Below 1 Ω



NG
Go to step 3
OK

PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

3.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR - ENGINE ROOM NO.2 JUNCTION BLOCK AND BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the A2 sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the 2F junction block connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    A2-1 - 2F-7
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    A2-1 - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher
    A2-2 - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
