1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)

  1. Using SST, install the sensor to the exhaust manifold RH.

    SST
    09224-00010  

    Torque:
    40 N*m{ 408 kgf*cm , 30 ft.*lbf } for use with SST
    44 N*m{ 449 kgf*cm , 32 ft.*lbf } for use without SST

    HINT:
    Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).

  1. Connect the sensor connector.



2. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

  1. Install the battery tray with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{ 51 kgf*cm , 44 in.*lbf }



3. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECT ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the 2 power steering ECU assembly connectors and securely lock the connectors.

  1. Install the power steering ECU assembly to the battery tray with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{ 51 kgf*cm , 44 in.*lbf }

  1. Install the ground cable terminal with bolt (A).

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{ 51 kgf*cm , 44 in.*lbf }

  1. Install the battery tray support No.1.



4. INSTALL BATTERY

  1. Install the battery.

  1. Install the battery insulator.

  1. European models only :

    1. Connect the battery thermometer connector.

  1. Install the battery clamp with the 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    2.9 N*m{ 30 kgf*cm , 26 in.*lbf }

  1. Connect the positive (+) battery cable to the battery.

    Torque:
    5.6 N*m{ 57 kgf*cm , 50 in.*lbf }

  1. Connect the negative (-) battery cable to the battery.

    Torque:
    5.6 N*m{ 57 kgf*cm , 50 in.*lbf }



5. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)

  1. Using SST, install the sensor to the exhaust manifold RH.

    Torque:
    40 N*m{ 408 kgf*cm , 30 ft.*lbf } for use with SST
    44 N*m{ 449 kgf*cm , 32 ft.*lbf } for use without SST

    HINT:
    Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).

  1. Connect the sensor connector.



6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


7. PERFORM INITIAZLIATION

  1. Perform initialization procedure (Click here).

    NOTICE:
    Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
