AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1) > REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE BATTERY

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the battery.

  1. Disconnect the positive (+) battery cable from the battery.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and the battery clamp.

  1. European models only :

    1. Disconnect the battery thermometer connector.

  1. Remove the battery insulator.

  1. Remove the battery.



3. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the battery tray support No.1.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the ground cable terminal.

  1. Release the locks of the 2 power steering ECU assembly connectors and disconnect the connectors.

  1. Remove the power steering ECU assembly.



4. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and battery tray.



5. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)

  1. Disconnect the sensor connector.

  1. Using SST, remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold RH.

6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (BANK 2 SENSOR 1)
