REAR STABILIZER BAR > INSPECTION

1. Inspect the ball joint (Rear stabilizer bar side).
   
   

   1. Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
      

   2. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the 5th turn.
      

      Turning torque:

      2.0 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 1.5 ft.*lbf) or less
      

2. Inspect the ball joint (Rear suspension arm assembly No.2 side).
   
   

   1. Temporarily install the nut and bolt, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
      

   2. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the 5th turn.
      

      Turning torque:

      2.5 N*m (25 kgf*cm, 1.8 ft.*lbf) or less
      

      If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear stabilizer link assembly LH with a new one.
      

3. Check the dust boots for cracks or grease leakage.
