DESCRIPTION

The swivel actuator receives the signal from the AFS ECU to operate and sends the signal regarding the direction of the headlight and condition of the headlight swivel motor to the AFS ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester main switch on.

  1. Select the item below in the Active Test and then check that the motor operates.

2.INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the B11 and B2 headlight assembly connectors.

  1. Measure the resistance of the connectors.

    Standard resistance:

    LH side (B2412) 
    Tester Connection

    B11-23(BL1-) - B11-24(BL1+)
    		Always
    		6 to 8 Ω
    B11-21(BL2-) - B11-22(BL2+)
    		Always
    		6 to 8 Ω

    RH side (B2413)

  1. Disconnect the B11 and B2 headlight connectors.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

5.REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Temporarily replace the headlight assembly with a new or normally functioning one.

  1. Check that headlight assembly operates.

    OK:
    Return to normal operation.
